The Great September Comet of 1882
The Great September Comet of 1882 (2009) - It was reported that this brilliant member of the cometary family of Kreutz Sungrazers could be glimpsed right next to the sun at high noon by blocking out the solar disk with one's hand. It is shown in the early morning sky over the Li River.
